Michael Christoferson
Principal
Michael gains enjoyment from learning how his clients’ businesses operate; making complex concepts easy to understand; and finding solutions to minimize the impact of tax liabilities. Clients appreciate his detailed and thorough approach.
Originally from Minnesota, Michael moved to the Central Coast with his family when he was six years old and was raised in Santa Maria. After graduating from Cal Poly, he began his career at Glenn Burdette. Michael was happy to stay in an area where he already had some roots. Primarily based out of our Santa Maria office, he has become known for his abilities in property transactions, cost segregation studies, estate tax issues, and for his work with clients in manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, and real estate.
A diehard Minnesota Vikings fan, Michael doesn’t miss a chance to enjoy a football game, spend time with his children, or get outside for beach, camping, and motorcycle excursions. He loves taking opportunities to go on road trips throughout California and the southwestern states as well as travel to Minnesota to visit family and attend a Twins or Vikings game.
Michael’s first job was at a thrift store where he enjoyed seeing a continual parade of interesting donations.
In a family of five children, Michael was the fourth born in the lineup.
