One reason Jason chose to be an accountant is the enjoyment he gets out of helping people have a better understanding of taxes and finance. “Beyond filing tax returns, I view a CPA as a trusted advisor who stays in step with the client both personally and professionally,” he says.
A Cal Poly graduate and native of Sonoma, Jason launched his career at KPMG in Silicon Valley. Desiring to settle on the Central Coast, Jason and his wife were thrilled when Jason was offered the job at Glenn Burdette in 2006. Focused on individual and corporate retirement planning as well as income tax and financial planning, Jason is known for going the extra mile for clients, whether it be answering a quick question via phone or researching a complex tax issue.
Jason keeps busy with his young family enjoying the local beaches, parks and helping with children’s events in the community. He also volunteers with the Cal Poly Alumni Association as he sees investing in young people as vital to our country’s future.
Jason says his first job as a ranch hand taught him how to put in a good day’s work at a young age. “Intelligence and social skills can get your foot in the door,” he says, “but lasting value comes from working hard, trustworthiness and acting responsibly.”
Jason is known for helping businesses maintain a prominent foothold in their industry.
A Bay Area native, Jason is a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers and has attended many games with family and friends.
Jason enjoys jogging and spending time with his family, and the occasional DIY project around the house.
