David Merlo

Principal

A native of Santa Maria, David returned to the Central Coast after 10 years in San Diego to take a position with Glenn Burdette. While there, he graduated from the University of San Diego and then worked in the tax department at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Employed with Glenn Burdette since 2003, David is known for providing technically sound advice in the areas of taxation and business consulting. He has extensive experience with industries including agriculture, construction and professional service companies. “I enjoy building real relationships with clients and learning about what drives them,” he says.

When he’s not working, David can be found watching sports or enjoying the lake with his wife and children. Sporting events are an integral part of his life, whether he is participating, watching or coaching. David is also a volunteer with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers where he has severed as Board Chair for several years and is involved with the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce.

And what has life taught David? “Work hard and never let someone tell you that you are not good enough.”
